Description
Towards the end of the life of the 'NFA' (New Flyer Articulated) Trolleybuses, those big old barns which were new in the early nineties and based out of the Potrero Division, the graffiti on the buses got out of hand. They're just weren't enough car cleaners to spend all the hours to use the heavy duty chemicals to remove all the ink from the fat markers from the taggers. But the smearing of the solvent chemicals created a blurring, layering affect which looked like modern Pollack art! In doing a morning pre-op walk thru on the aisle, I stopped and clicked, "That's Art!"

Blues Persuasion was found on my walk-thru during pre-op before pulling out on the 49 Line. The car cleaners had tried to clean the decades old North American Flyer Articulated trolleybus, using heavy duty paint remover on the advertising section above the seats, but the layers of paint were so encrusted, complete removal was near impossible. The plastic cover over the florescent back lighting on the advert bar glossed over the smeared glow of the spray can paint and felt tip markers taggers used to make their mark. The smearing of the cleaning chemicals added an unusual depth to the tags. "That's art," I said as I snapped the shot.
